A graduate from Liberty University with an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling and Towson University with a B.A. in English, Shalon draws on her unique life experiences, specialized education, and targeted training to help others identify their best next steps toward personal and professional goals. While her faith has helped her form an inclusive, culturally humble worldview, meeting people where they are to come alongside them for healing and growth, she does not push her faith on anyone. Building rapport and learning about the client’s experiences, desires, and overall worldview is essential to a successful coaching alliance, and Shalon has been trained to uphold the therapeutic bond in the highest regard.
Navigating through many challenges of her own throughout life like chronic disease, single parenting, and abuse, Shalon has developed keen insight into life crises and transitions. Such experiences along with training in trauma-informed care, suicide prevention, assessment, intervention, and recovery, grief and loss, and many women’s issues–like self-image and identity, menopause, and relationships–has equipped Shalon to help life coaching clients in the following ways:
-
Identify personal and professional areas for healing and growth
-

-

-

Shalon also works closely with a strong, reliable network of mental health care practitioners that can provide additional care when life experiences limit your ability to show up for yourself in the coaching realm.
In her leisure time, Shalon enjoys traveling, golfing, tennis, reading, musicking, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and furbaby Remi. She is also a self-proclaimed foodie and culinary mixologist.
